Welcome to the Country Living Connoisseur

Pull Up a Chair

Welcome to The Country Living Connoisseur. We’re Lane and Jules—and we’re so glad you’re here.

This isn’t just a newsletter. It’s a love letter to slower days, meaningful moments, and the kind of life you design on purpose. A life where rescued animals (and humans) find a second chance, where dirt under your nails means something’s growing, and where vintage treasures, quiet mornings, and blooms in old jars remind you that joy lives in the little things.

We believe country living is more than a place—it’s a way of moving through the world. And whether you’re on a porch swing in the country or in an apartment with a windowsill garden, you belong here.

We’ll be sharing stories from the farm, garden wisdom, devotionals for the heart, curated finds, and simple encouragement to keep chasing what matters. This space is about dreaming big, designing with intention, and living it all out—wherever you are, whatever season you’re in.

Thanks for growing something BombDiggity with us.
We’re so honored to share this life with you.

Let’s dream it, design it, and live it—together.

With love,
Lane + Jules

Designing a Life You Love

Psstttt...it starts with one brave step.

What if your life didn’t have to be on autopilot?
What if it didn’t have to look like anyone else’s?
What if designing a life you love wasn’t about overhauling everything…but simply starting where you are, with what you have?

That’s why I created a simple gift for you:
The “Design a Life You Love” Worksheet.

This isn’t fluff. It’s not a checklist of someone else’s ideas.
It’s a set of heart-opening prompts and reflections to help you name what matters—and take the next tiny step toward it.

Harvest Time Means Jelly Time

The golden light of late summer is settling over Sweet BombDiggity Farms, and that means one thing—grape harvest season is here. Our Concord vines are bursting, and you know what that means… It’s time to make jelly! (No fresh grapes? A good, bold grape juice works too.)

I’ve pulled out my tattered recipe card and turned on the stove. Let’s get jiggly and make something sweet together.

The Magic of Marigolds

This time of year, marigolds go from polite garden guests to full-on showstoppers. They spill over the edges of beds, pop through veggie rows like golden confetti, and keep blooming with relentless cheer. It’s no wonder gardeners have loved them for centuries.

The Curated Corner

Bolga baskets perch on the ledge. Kilim rugs drape from the rafters. And every time I walk by, this little corner makes me smile. The colors, the texture, the story they tell—it’s not perfect, but it’s mine.

Our homes don’t have to be picture-perfect to be meaningful. And when life feels a little too full, it’s easy to think, Why bother? But I’ve learned that curating just one small space—a corner, a tabletop, a shelf—can shift the whole mood.

Start small. Start where you are. Create a spot that brings you joy. That’s what The Curated Corner is all about.

Favorite Finds

From must-have tools and products to vintage treasures and talented makers that I think are the bombdiggity—this little section is full of fun. Just a few things I’m loving lately… and I’d love to hear what you’re loving too!

Weeder Puller

It’s August, y’all—and the weeds are thriving. I don’t love pulling weeds, but this little tool? Total game changer.

This weed puller is sharp, sturdy, and just the right length for getting into raised beds or tight spots. It’s been an inexpensive lifesaver in both my raised and in-ground beds this summer.

Just a heads-up: it is sharp—so throw on some gloves and get after it. Your garden will thank you.

Fermenting Starter Kit

It’s that time of year—when the garden gives us everything all at once. If your counters are overflowing, fermenting is one of the easiest (and healthiest) ways to make the most of it.

Not only is it simple, it’s a gut-friendly powerhouse. I started with this little kit, and it had everything I needed to dive in. Over the years, I’ve just added to it as I went.

If you’re looking for a low-fuss way to preserve those garden goodies and do your gut a favor, give it a try!

For My Chicken Lovers

It’s no secret—I’m a big fan of everything from Eaton Pet & Pasture. From Roost Refresh and Revitalime to their Hemp Bedding and Aspen Nesting Pads, their products keep our coops clean, cozy, and smelling fresh.

And their new odor neutralizer? It has me singing and dancing in the chicken run—because y’all, there’s literally no smell. None.

Want to give them a try? Use code BombDiggity or shop through this link for 20% off. Your flock (and your nose) will thank you.

Platter Perfection & a Peek at What’s Ahead

This sweet 15" Limoges platter Lane and I picked up at the beach has been one of my favorite Friday Finds lately—From the early 1900s, delicate, timeless, full of charm, and signed! Lane spotted it tucked in a Florida thrift store and couldn’t believe the $9 price tag. French porcelain, hand-painted florals, and that gold detail? It was coming home with us.

Also—exciting news! Starting in September, we’ll be doing four Friday Finds vintage drops a year. Each one is lovingly curated, and every dollar goes straight to supporting the rescue animals here at the farm.

Hunting for treasures is something we love—but sharing them for a good cause? That’s the real joy. Stay tuned, friends. It’s going to be BombDiggity.

Tuck it in your pocket

Sometimes the smallest things bring the biggest joy—a thrifted platter, a quiet morning, a corner that feels like you. Let this be your reminder:

You don’t have to do it all. Just start somewhere lovely.

Have a question you'd love me to answer? A project you're proud of? Something inspiring you've seen? I’d love to hear it—and it might just show up in a future newsletter.

We’re building something beautiful here, together. Now that's BombDiggity!

Here’s to simple joys and big dreams,
